Lessons of The Past

Some time ago I came upon a typewriter at an office supply store. In it was a paper used for testing the performance of the machine... basically paper to allow a prospective customer to type something and get a feel for the product. The line that was typed was "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.". At the time I didn't give the content of that line much thought... over time though that line appeared over and over in different parts of the country in other typewriters that I saw in office supply stores; it appeared that a pattern was emerging.

Today, that line is no longer just a quaint text to test the primary tool of modern writers... but a shout to all Americans from the past. We are living at a crossroads that hasn't been experienced in a very long time... the liberty that Americans have taken for granted is at risk and the Independence of the American Republic almost gone through ignorance and neglect. About a year and a half ago I lost my original site due to devastating personal issues. My circumstances cannot compare however to the state Americans are going to find themselves in sooner than they can possibly imagine.

Nearly two centuries ago a famous American penned these words:

I was born an American; I live an American; I shall die an American; and I intend to perform the duties incumbent upon me in that character to the end of my career. I mean to do this with absolute disregard of personal consequences.

What are the personal consequences? What is the individual man, with all the good or evil that may betide him, in comparison with the good or evil which may befall a great country, and in the midst of great transactions which concern that country's fate?

Let the consequences be what they will, I am careless. No man can suffer too much, and no man can fall too soon, if he suffers or if he falls, in the defense of the liberties and constitution of his country.

I believe that Americans are about to find out just what those words mean. If freedom is to remain in the American system, the current mix of traitors and marxists must be expelled from the body politic by any means necessary per paragraph two of the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.— That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. I am encouraged by the emergence of the "Tea Party" movement, though I fear the Republican Party is gaining too much control over it and will ultimately do what they did after the 1994 elections, namely sell-out their constituents and the country.

This site is going to start growing again and I pray that God will provide the means for me to pursue what is clearly my duty.
